What is wordDuel?
wordDuel is a two-player word guessing game from the nerdleverse. It works like Wordle – guess a hidden 5-letter word – but you’re racing against another player. Both players see their own grid and get independent colour feedback after each guess:
- Green – correct letter in the correct position.
- Purple – correct letter, wrong position.
- Grey – letter not in the word.
The first player to find the word (or the one who finds it in fewer guesses) wins the round.
Play against a friend or the bot
Challenge a friend by sharing a link, or play against the wordDuel bot for solo practice. Like nerdDuel, you can play any time – wordDuel isn’t limited to one game per day.
Words, not numbers
wordDuel is the word-based counterpart to nerdDuel. If you enjoy Wordle and want a competitive twist, wordDuel is for you. If you prefer math, switch to nerdDuel and race to solve equations instead. For larger group play, Nerdle Cup supports multiple players at once.
