What is midi nerdle?
Midi nerdle is a daily math puzzle with 7 characters – one fewer than classic nerdle and one more than mini nerdle. You have six guesses to find the hidden equation, and every guess must be a valid calculation.
After each guess, colour-coded tiles show how close you are:
- Green – correct character in the correct position.
- Purple – correct character, wrong position.
- Grey – character not in the solution.
A new puzzle every day at midnight GMT.
The goldilocks zone
Midi nerdle hits a sweet spot: the equations are complex enough to be interesting (e.g. 15+9=24 or 6*7=42) but shorter than classic, so each solve feels a bit quicker. If you find mini too easy but classic too daunting, midi is the one for you.
