Colorful number blocks on the ground

easy math puzzles

a gentle starting point for number puzzles

Not sure where to start? These are the most accessible games in the nerdleverse – shorter equations, simpler rules, or lower difficulty levels that make a good entry point for new players, younger solvers, or anyone who wants a quick puzzle without too much head-scratching.

More about each game

  • micro nerdle – just 5 characters. The shortest nerdle variant, with simple calculations like 3+4=7. A good first nerdle for younger players.
  • mini nerdle – 6 characters. Slightly more room for complexity than micro, but still quick to solve. Popular in classrooms.
  • nanagram x6 – find all valid calculations from a set of number tiles. The x6 level keeps calculations to 6 characters or shorter, making it the gentlest nanagram.
  • targets level 1 – build a calculation to hit a single target number. Just one target to match, so you can focus on getting the arithmetic right.
  • maffdoku level 1 – fill a 1–9 grid using sum and product clues. The first level provides more starting clues, making it a manageable introduction.
